These brushes tend to do most of the work for you-- I'm not an experienced artist, and the cover painting took me UNDER 30 MINUTES of leisurely freestyling to complete! The brushes are incredibly relaxing to use and SO easy to freestyle with, from doodles to whole paintings. They work especially well for abstract and impressionistic art styles.

You will get:

• Pencils:
  • Soft Lead Very soft, smooth and round, with a quick taper. Great for blocking in subjects!
  • Hybrid Versatile, great for sketching or sketchy-feeling line art. Engineered to look and feel like a comfortable mechanical pencil!
• Paintbrushes:
  • Hatch Wild-feeling and rich. Layers and blends deeply, with added hatching. For filling large spaces and texturing.
  • Soft Oil Quite opaque but still blends softly. Feels smooth and easy to control. I use this one for smoothing over rougher parts of my paintings and blocking in colors.
• Details:
  • Organic Graphic For finishing touches. Adds a subtle, natural feel. I recommend using this one at low opacity on a layer with an altered blending mode.
• Splatters:
  • Crash Abstracted stroke path brush, used for blending, or color blocking with an element of intensity variation and very subtle color alteration.
  • URBAN STAIN This is my favorite. brush. OF. ALL. TIME! I use it for everything! It's very versatile; it can be used on its own as an ink-mimicking stamp, but I mainly use it as a splattering color-blocking brush for the bases of many of my paintings due to its rough and organic-feeling nature. I also tend to finish off my paintings with this brush to add texture and interest. In particular, I love using this brush for landscapes-- it adds such a windswept feeling to any field or meadow. Try playing around with the brush size, colors, and layer blending mode!
